How do I cut off the water supply?
To cut off your water supply you will need to locate the shut-off valve, near the water meter, where the water pipe enters your home. This is often under the kitchen sink, but can also be under the stairs, or in the garage.

Turn the valve clockwise. It may take a few turns to stop the water. You'll get to a point where you can’t turn it anymore. You shouldn’t need to use excessive force to turn it further.
Burst pipe, what should I do?
If you have a leaking or burst pipe in your home, you should turn off your water immediately. You can do this by turning the shut-off-valve. Then you need a plumber fast.

Ensure that you:
TURN OFF any electrics
TURN OFF your central heating, immersion heaters and any other water heating systems,
TURN ON all your taps, this will help drain the system,
Why won't my toilet flush properly?
There are a few reasons why this could be happening. Most often, this type of problem is caused by clogs in your drainpipe or in the main sewer line.
